About us

We grow forests, not just trees.

Ghanera Jungle turns bare land in and around Indore into dense, native forests using the Miyawaki method, and cares for them until they can stand on their own.

A small patch of land. A real, living jungle.

Developed by Japanese botanist Akira Miyawaki, the method plants several native saplings per square metre on enriched soil.

The trees compete for light, grow upward fast and form a multi-layered canopy that becomes self-sustaining after the first few years. Every species is chosen for the local soil and climate.

  • Cooler surroundings

The dense, shaded canopy cools the area around it.

  • Water held in the soil

Shade, roots and fallen leaves help the ground hold water.

  • Wildlife comes back

Birds, butterflies and insects return to the area.

Inside one of our forests

Our mission: cooler, greener neighbourhoods, one dense forest at a time.

We turn unused land at factories, campuses and housing societies into native forests that shade the ground, hold water in the soil and bring birds, butterflies and insects back to the city.

Why companies, schools and societies choose us.

Every forest we plant is built to last: the right native species, planted the Miyawaki way, and looked after until it can stand on its own.

  • 100% native species

Every species is chosen for the local soil and climate, so the forest belongs where it grows.

  • Dense, layered planting

Shrub, sub-tree, tree and canopy layers planted close together, so they race upward and close the canopy fast.

  • Care until it thrives

Watering, weeding, mulching and monitoring until the forest becomes self-sustaining.

  • Progress you can report

Regular progress reports for your team, your CSR committee or your residents.

Have land? Let’s turn it into a forest.
